  1. Better than my old well level switch controller

    I bought this product after much research and web browsing. This was the best product for the money and application. I have a 400' deep well and needed to replace the submersible pump after 35 years of service. The old way of turning the pump off and on was high/low level switches that had probes in contact with the water and voltage was applied to them with a transformer at the well head. There were three probes, (reference, hi/low) that had two wires each going to them. this was a lot of extra wire in the bore that could go bad and cause problems. The Syncom unit was easy to hook up, 4 wires, and calibrate. My pump was a 1.5 horse and draws about 10 amps at 240 volts when pumping water. As the the pumps starts to cavitate and suck a little air when the water level goes below the intake screen, the motor running amps decrease, in my case to about 8 amps and this controller senses that and shuts the pump down. You can increase the sensitivity with the sensitivity potentiometer to shut the pump down at the first gurgle of cavitation, no flow. You set the desired off time for your well to fill up and replenish itself, I have a slow producer, 2-3 gal a minute. Good unit for the price and easy to install. You will need to put it in a enclosure or some sort to protect it from the elements and touch/shock hazards.

    Guys I installed this jewel the same day it arrived. We had a winery open next door in the drought. That means no water for us on the week end. The pump saver 233p has saved our 500' well pump 4 times in the first week end. Thanks to rc Worst having it in stock, I now have time to buy a holding tank and jet pump. Let it Rain!
