How does the alarm work?
A basic audio/visual alarm will have a float located at a chosen high level in your sump pump basin. When the water in the tank reaches the high level, the float will tip up, sending a signal to the alarm control box. The visual indicator will illuminate and the alarm will sound. Additional options include battery back-ups and alarms that will send notifications via email and/or text.
